The OM2P-LC 802.11n (802.11g compatible) wireless mesh access point is ideally suited for providing robust internet coverage up to 150 Mbps. Examples include hotels, apartments, neighborhoods, coffee shops, shopping malls, campgrounds, marinas and just about anywhere else you can imagine.

The OM2P-LC does not sacrifice quality to hit a low price. Its 20 dBm power (2-5dBi higher than most access points) and receive amplifier boost incoming signals to provide exceptional range at very low cost. Since its antenna is internal (same 2dBi gain as the OM2P) it fits into housings the OM2P can't, like the Ceiling and Ethernet wall jack enclosures. Even the outdoor enclosure is a cleaner, more sealed installation as the antenna doesn't protrude outside the housing.

OM Series access points are compatible with passive 12-24v PoE. (Note this is not 802.3af PoE compatible, so these access points cannot be powered with standard PoE switches.) Passive PoE keeps costs low, reduces heat dissipation and allows for the most compact size possible. We sell a line of PoE injectors and power supplies to power these access points.

For 2014, we've improved the OM2P-HS with the following features:
1. Dual PoE Support: Use either passive 12-24v PoE or standard 802.3af PoE as used in PoE switches.
2. High power: Doubled power to 23 dBm (200 mW) from 20 dBm (100 mW).

With 23 dBm power (200 mW) at even the highest speeds (5-8 dBi higher than most business class access points) and dual receive amplifiers, the OM2P-HS boosts incoming signals to provide exceptional range at twice the speed of the original OM2P. Since its dual antennas are internal (same 2 dBi gain as the OM2P), it fits into housings the OM2P can't, like the Ceiling and Ethernet Wall Jack enclosures. Even the outdoor enclosure is a cleaner, more sealed installation as the antenna doesn't protrude outside the housing.

The OM2P-HS is compatible with both passive 12-24v PoE and standard 802.3af PoE, so these access points can be powered with Open-Mesh's line of passive PoE injectors or standard PoE switches.

With 20dBm (100 mW) power (measured at high speeds) and external antenna with standard RP-SMA connector, it provides the the flexibility to work with 3rd-party external antennas.

Note that since the antenna is external, it does not work with the ceiling or Ethernet wall jack enclosures. For indoor installations, we recommend the OM2P-LC or OM2P-HS models. The OM2P-LC is considerably less expensive and the OM2P-HS is up to twice as fast at the same price.

Open-Mesh OM Series access points are compatible with passive 12-24v PoE. (Note this is not 802.3af PoE compatible, so the OM2P cannot be powered with standard PoE switches.)
